The Interim Executive Network is a group of executives who serve as interim professionals in Washington, DC area nonprofit organizations. This network has been around for 10 years, but has never had a website.
Their leadership realized the need for a professional logo and website to take their network to the next level, allowing them to reach more people regarding their services. I met with the director to discuss their brand and their desires for the web and logo design.
They wanted a clean and professional aesthetic that would convey their experienced leadership and stability in times of transition. I set to work designing the primary and alternate logos. The emblem of their logo depicts arrows that are touching, signifying the connectedness of their network, yet pointed outward, representing how their members go out to various locations to serve in their interim leadership roles. The fonts convey professionalism, and the brand color palette features calming blues.
In addition to the logos, I designed a two-sided business card featuring the primary logo with brand tagline, as well as the alternate logo.
Next, I wrote the content for each page of the website with SEO in mind. IEN leadership provided all of the blog posts for the site. I then got to work on the design of this mobile responsive, WordPress website. The pages are broken up by different content blocks and interactive elements, all designed for easy interaction and readability across all devices. Each member of the Network has their own profile, featuring their bio, headshot, contact information, and more.
